PlugMatrix Reviews

Ask every customer how you did.

PlugMatrix Reviews asks every customer how you did, by email, short link or QR code. Everyone is offered the same public review sites, feedback joins the same contacts as your chats and forms, and testimonials go on your website only with the customer's permission.

  • Every customer sees the same review sites
  • Testimonials only with permission
Illustration with sample dataIllustration: the Sparkle Home Cleaning review page a customer sees, asking how the experience was, with 4 of 5 stars chosen, a Continue button, and buttons to review the business on Google and on Facebook. Behind it, the team's feedback inbox lists new ratings, including a 2-star comment flagged for follow-up, and a rating badge for the website reads 4.8 out of 5 from 57 customer ratings.

How it works

From a finished job to a public review

Ask at the right moment, give every customer the same choices, fix what went wrong, and show what went right, with permission.

The screens below are illustrations of the product with sample data.

  1. Step 1: Ask every customer, the way that fits

Email a request from the dashboard or send it to a list from a CSV file, share a short link, or print a QR code on counter cards, table cards and flyers. Campaigns can also ask on their own after an appointment is completed, a lead is won or a form is sent.

Four ways to ask. An email that says How did we do, Priya? with a Rate your visit button; a short link to copy for texts, social posts and chats; a printed counter card with a QR code that reads Tell us how we did; and campaign triggers that ask 2 hours after an appointment is completed, 1 day after a lead is won, or right after a form is submitted.
  2. Step 2: Every customer gets the same choices

Customers rate the visit on a fast page with your logo and colors, then can tell you more in private. The public review sites you pick, such as Google or Facebook, are offered on every step to every customer, whatever their rating. Nobody is filtered out before they can post a public review.

Two customers on the same Sparkle Home Cleaning review page. One chose 2 of 5 stars, Fair; the other chose 5 of 5, Excellent. Both pages offer exactly the same buttons: review us on Google and review us on Facebook.
  3. Step 3: Unhappy customers reach you in time

Every rating and comment lands in one feedback inbox, matched to the customer’s contact. A low score alerts your team, and a customer who asks to be contacted is flagged for follow-up, so problems get fixed while it still matters.

The feedback inbox with four new ratings from customers, including a 2-star comment from Dan M. flagged for follow-up. Beside it, what happened after his rating: an alert to the team, his request to be contacted, and his contact history with 3 cleanings and 1 chat.
  4. Step 4: Reply with an AI draft you control

Pick a tone and get a draft based only on what the customer wrote. It never promises refunds or discounts, and it is never sent or published for you: you edit it, then copy it or email the customer yourself.

Dan M.'s 2-star feedback with a Draft a reply panel. The Apologetic tone is selected, and the draft thanks Dan, says sorry that the oven was missed and nobody called back, and invites him to get in touch. A note says it is an AI-generated draft to review and edit, with buttons to copy it or email the customer.
  5. Step 6: Show testimonials on your website

Choose a carousel, grid, wall, featured testimonial, rating badge or floating badge and style it to match your site. Widgets load after your page, weigh a few kilobytes and work with a keyboard and screen readers. Their rating counts every customer rating, and a widget that shows a selection says so.

Illustration with sample dataA website section titled What our customers say: a rating of 4.8 out of 5 based on 57 customer ratings, a carousel of testimonials from Priya K. and Ana L. with previous and next buttons, and a note that the testimonials were selected by Sparkle Home Cleaning and shared with each customer's permission. A floating rating badge sits in the corner. Below, the six widget types: carousel, grid, wall, featured, rating badge and floating badge.
  6. Step 7: See how every location and service is doing

Follow requests sent, opened and completed, average rating or Net Promoter Score, review site clicks and testimonials collected, by campaign, location, employee and service. Export feedback, testimonials and requests to CSV whenever you need to.

Illustration with sample dataReviews analytics with sample numbers: 412 requests sent, 38% completed, an average rating of 4.6 and 96 clicks to review sites; the share of each star rating, from 68% five stars to 2% one star; and average ratings by employee.

Why switch

More than a review request tool

Most review tools stop at the request. PlugMatrix Reviews gives every customer the same choices, brings problems to your team, and turns the feedback customers agree to share into testimonials on your website.

Collect and show reviews on any website

Ask from the dashboard, then place your testimonials wherever you need them. No developer required.

Ask for feedback

Turning on Reviews creates a default campaign, with its page and email, ready to use.

  1. Turn on Reviews and add the review sites you want to offer: Google, Facebook or your own.
  2. Adjust your request page and email, or keep the defaults.
  3. Send a request to one customer, upload a CSV list, or let a campaign ask after each job.

Testimonials on any website

Design a widget, then add it with the Review Wall, Review Carousel or Rating Badge block in our WordPress plugin, or paste its code on any other website. Replace WIDGET_ID with the id from the widget’s page.

<div data-app-reviews="WIDGET_ID"></div>
<script async src="https://cdn.plugmatrix.io/reviews.js"></script>

The script loads a widget only when it is about to come into view.

Questions, answered

Straight answers about how PlugMatrix Reviews works.

Works with the rest of PlugMatrix: Live Chat, Forms and Bookings

What is review gating, and why don’t you do it?

Review gating means asking customers how they feel first and sending only the happy ones to Google or Facebook. Google’s review policy does not allow it, and the FTC’s rule on consumer reviews and testimonials (16 CFR Part 465) forbids suppressing negative reviews while presenting the rest as the whole picture. In PlugMatrix Reviews, the public review sites are offered to every customer on every step, automations cannot ask for public reviews based on a rating, and testimonials of every rating go through the same approval.

What happens when someone leaves a low rating?

Their feedback goes to your private feedback inbox, and a rating at or below the threshold you choose alerts your team. If they ask to be contacted, the feedback is flagged for follow-up. They are still offered the same public review sites as everyone else.

Can a customer take back permission for a testimonial?

Yes, at any time, from the link in their thank-you email, or your team can withdraw it for them. The testimonial comes off your widgets right away, and the record of the permission they gave is kept.

Which review sites can I send customers to?

Google, Facebook, Yelp, Trustpilot or any other secure link, for the whole business or per location. Yelp asks businesses not to request reviews, so it is shown as “Find us on Yelp”.

How often are customers asked?

Once per experience. By default nobody is asked again within 30 days, emails go out between 8 AM and 8 PM local time, reminders stop once the customer responds, and every request email has an unsubscribe link. You can change the timing in settings.

Can I show or reply to my Google reviews here?

Not yet. PlugMatrix Reviews collects feedback from your own customers and shows the testimonials they agreed to share. You can import testimonials you already have permission to use: they are labelled with their source and never marked as verified.

Does it work on WordPress?

Yes. The PlugMatrix WordPress plugin adds Review Wall, Review Carousel, Rating Badge and Review Button blocks, with matching shortcodes. The widget script loads only on pages that show one. On any other website, paste the widget code.

Can I send requests by text message?

Not yet. Requests go by email, short link and QR code today.

Does it work with Bookings and Forms?

Yes. A campaign can ask automatically when an appointment is completed, a lead is won or a form is submitted, and feedback joins the same contact as the customer’s Live Chat conversations, forms and appointments.
